Stand Atlantic, Live At The Bodega.

Having watched the upcoming supports: Shaded UK, and In Her Own Words side stage, I, along with the other 220 people at Bodega's sold out show were pumped and ready for Sydney born Stand Atlantic's much anticipated set.

Opening with Bullfrog off of their sophomore release: the set list compiled a perfect blend of their 2018 album Skinny Dipping with their 2017 EP Sidewinder. Both of which are widely respected and praised: with Skinny Dipping featuring as Kerrang! Album of the Week during it's release.

The 4 piece pulled at the heartstrings of listeners, evoking a mix of emotions: playing energetic songs such as fan favourite Coffee at Midnight and Skinny Dipping to slower more emotive songs such as my personal favourite: Push, and Toothpick.

The band did a phenomenal job of maintaining a stage presence and audience interaction: from circle pits, to the lead singer, Bonnie's Microphone being kicked over by a crowd surfer in the middle of Lavender Bones.

Bonnie also did a fantastic job of switching roles from guitarist to singer, showing she isn't afraid to confidently and closely interact in the face of passionate screaming fans.

The future's bright for this four piece, recently signed to Hopeless Records: on a roster alongside artists such as All Time Low, Neck Deep, Enter Shikari and Avenged Sevenfold. This is both their first ever UK headlines tour, and first ever time in Nottingham; but definitely won't be their last.

With a set like last nights, it won't be long until they're playing shows to thousands of people.

Circle pits, crowd surfing, energetic music: 7/10, don’t sleep on Stand Atlantic, this is just the beginning of something huge.
