LANY prove to be made for big things at Rock City

Los Angeles trio LANY brought a wave of summery pop to a full crowd at Rock City on 6 March.

Blending a melancholic vibe with energetic indie-pop, the threesome- who have more than half a billion streams to their credit- proved themselves to be a pop band to watch out for.

Kicking off the night’s set with break-up track, ‘Thick and Thin’ from band’s second album, before ‘Good Girls’, ‘4EVER!’, ‘yea, babe,no way’ amped up the crowd.

While their brand of pop melodies including the brilliant ‘If You See Her’ and ‘ I Don’t Wanna Love You Anymore’, have helped them achieve global success, it’s the slower offerings that made the night at Nottingham.

Tracks ‘Hericane’ and ‘Malibu Nights’ showcased the band’s talent for song-writing becoming the highlights for the night, before ending with fan favourites ‘Thru These Tears’ and ‘ILYSB’.

Having performed previously at Coachella and in Asia, the band is definitely made for fame- and as you hear the hordes of fans sing-along, you get the feeling they’ll achieve big things in a small amount of time.
