Estrons to play Nottingham's Bodega
Welsh alternative band Estrons will be making an exciting appearance on 9 November with their debut album "You Say I'm Too Much, I Say I'm Not Good Enough."
The album is the culmination of over two years of touring and honing a sound that has become uniquely theirs. Their first single "Lilac" picked up considerable fan and media attention, even chosen by Huw Stephens as his Tune of the Week, as well as featuring in NME, CLASH and Kerrang! The record has also seen them perform live in session for Annie Mac on BBC Radio 1, take on a successful run of festival appearances, play shows with Pussy Riot, and make a swathe of new fans all over the UK as they supported Garbage on the road.
Their bold new release "Body" is a unique and strong sound, as well as the brave music video. (See below)
lead singer Tali Källström offers: "Shooting the video for Body was one of the most terrifying and liberating experiences of my entire life. For millenniums art has been used to set the paradigm for how our bodies should look. It suppresses us, it creates the unreachable which leads humanity into a pit of judgement, self denial and depression. This video is about studying the real. Celebrating yourself. Sexualising yourself, and letting go of the concept of “flaws” by flaunting who you really are.”
This band is definitely one to watch out for, and are a must-see live. So why not head down to The Bodega this Friday evening for a night of incredible sounds. Look out for our review next week!
