Blossoms Will Take On Nottingham's Rock City Next Week
Indie pop band Blossoms will be performing a sold out show at Rock City next week (5 Dec.)
Since forming in 2013 Blossoms have enjoyed consistent and remarkable success. The band were on the BBC’s Sound Of new music list for 2016 and upon its release later that year, their debut album Blossoms entered the album chart at number 1 - later going on to be nominated for the 2017 Mercury Prize and a BRIT Award.
Blossoms recently set up their own Stockport based label, Very Clever Records. Their first signing, Fuzzy Sun - who Blossoms have produced and mixed for, recently released their debut EP, Want Love (which went straight to number 10 on the iTunes album chart). Fuzzy Sun will be joining Blossoms at Rock City along with Whenyoung.
I Can’t Stand It, the first single to be released from the forthcoming album, “a banger built for sunny fields” (Dork) - has been playlisted across Radio 1, Radio 2, Radio X, Virgin Radio & Absolute Radio - as well as racking up over one and a half million streams and counting.
